The orogonal idea behond hybrids was to create hyppallergentic breeds of apecific qualities, then to breed out certain genetic issues.
Both these failed and greed took over.
Of cpurse many moxes just accidently happened some were cuter than others spme got cute names and if research prevails it was actually pounds and rescuea thay tried to push these cutesy names like chorkie sonce many people weren't as interested in a hybrid called a mut...greeders took this an ran with it.
I have and love my Schnorkie a pup mill rescue mini schnauzer yorkie hybrid, Derik had a whip back...rhodesian ridgeback whippet cross he also rescued frpm a breeder dumping at the hs...seems a male whippet ran many miles from a race kennel to impregnate a ridgevack female newly arrived and in heat from SA...the breeder chose not to abort the mismate hoping to sell the pups as designer...the whole litter ended up at the hs....
Some hybrid took off some havent.
