Hi everyone. I have an 11 month old female yorkie named Chloe. I got her last Oct. she was 12 wks old. She started having intestinal issues the first week. I took her to the vet and she tested positive for giardia. That cleared up. She has had some diarrhea off and on a couple of times. My vet has put her on flagyl . Each time about 1 1/2 off meds it comes back. So they did a complete blood work and she had some elevated lipids which is indicative of ulcers. So they put her on flagyl and amoxicilian for 14 days plus ulcer medicine and pepcid. I called my vet today to tell him the soft stool has come back and now he wants another stool sample. Then he will put her back on flagyl and amoxicilian. If they find nothing in the stool, they are going to do an ultra sound of her intestines and go from there. She doesn't act herself all the time and that worries me not to mention she is such a picky eater. He wants her off dog food for a month so I am cooking her chicken and beef with rice (she hates rice). I am feeling frustrated. My last 3 yorkies had CHF so I am used to sick dogs and taking care of them. I have just never heard of a puppy having an ulcer. I was just wondering if any one on YT has heard of this.
