I can't help but wonder what they thought the Yorkie would do about pottying if no one was willing to take him out? Did they expect him to use the 'big potty' same as themselves? Did they expect him to comb his own hair and shower regularly by himself? Or did they selfishly expect that no effort on their part was required...maybe because he was...a dog...
Even little tiny dogs are still...well...dogs, and require care. Of course, that human must "care" to begin with, and continuing throughout his/her life or the baby ends up...like...this poor baby!
