I think the trainer she's working with uses older methodoloy as in tug verbal reward not give a treat to get them to go no tug...it;s two conflicting methods of training and where trainers differ a lot, some say dominance method others say reward method...now both methods commingle but the initial start is the difference.
My first trainer used the older methods it was haphazard with a pup mill rescue thankfully we consulted a behaviorist who connected us with a new trainer using newer methods of a different thinking,
