Should someone purchase a puppy and the only thing in the contract indicates The Buyer has forty-eight (48) hours from the date of sale to have the puppy/dog checked by a veterinarian at the Buyer’s expense. If the Buyer’s vet exam reveals the puppy/dog to have a life threatening genetic disease that occurred in-utro the Buyer must send a full written report by a Licensed Examining Veterinarian within 24 hours of the exam. Seller does not occur any veterinarian costs incurred from the Buyer. If the Buyer decides to have the puppy/dog treated by their veterinarian, the Seller will not be responsible for veterinary costs.
The pup is 9 months old taken to the vet for vomiting and just not feeling well. Vet gives a shot and seems to be doing fine and then two days later starts the same symptoms again and the vet draws blood says liver enzymes are elevated no xray shows obstruction. Vet then responds this is typical of yorkies and will require surgery, for liver shunt gives the puppy a shot and sends it back home. Does this sound normal for the vet to be this way, does he really think it is a liver shunt? Shouldn't he be wanting to perform more testing to be sure?
This was told to the breeder and the breeder said he would refund their purchase price of the puppy and take the puppy back and take to his vet and should it be a liver shunt will in turn take the necessary measures to treat the puppy. Is this resonable of a breeder? |
