Bimmer has spent most of the day sleeping in his cage. Since I'm working from home, I've gotten him out every hour on the hour to see if he'll eat, drink, or pottie. Up until five minutes ago I had no luck with the eating part.
Another member here suggested grinding up his hard food (that he's NEVER touched since I've had him) and seeing if he'd try that. To my surprise, he ate about 8 pieces in one sitting! I'm not sure if it's because he's feeling better or he was just curious. I'm not taking any chances, though. He's been getting 2 cc's of PediaLyte every hour and he's slowly coming around. His belly is a bit fuller from the ground up hard food and now he just seems content to lay down and relax. I can live with that.
For what its worth, he's only shaken his head twice since we got back from the vet and both times it was for half the amount of time he usually does it. We could be seeing progress in this area as well. |
You are such a good daddy. I am glad he ate something. I tried ceeby on everything people suggested and when he would east at all, it was only for one or two times. The longest he ever ate a certain type of food was two days, then we were back to square one. But he is fine now. I should knock on wood. I can't help but wonder how long it will last. LOL
