I think you are doing the right thing by having Max neutered. I can't tell you how many people have come up and asked if I wanted to breed Georgie. While I was flattered (obviously I think he is the best and most handsome Yorkie boy in the world
) I declined. Georgie is AKC standard and registered but to be honest I thought about the female Yorkie and whether it was safe for her. I knew Georgie would be fine but did I want that on my conscience to have a poor sweet girl die during the pregnancy or labor...nope I didn't even want to risk that. I am very glad I got him neutered because now when people ask I let them see his privates or lack thereof
