It is best to put a grooming band in the hair before the bow. Just putting a bow in will usually result in it being taken out rather quickly. Always watch your puppy closely when it has a bow in the hair because they can choke on them if they take it off (which they usually do at first)

You may want to start out just putting the grooming bands in loosely at first. Nothing fancy. Just enough to get her accustomed to having something light in the hair. Then work up to a light weight bow in the hair. I am putting a couple of links you can click on to help you try and figure this out. Just remember it takes patience and training to get a pup to accept a bow and she may be a bit older before you get her to the point where she accepts it. Do practice daily though to get her used to it.
