Unless a customer disputes anendorsement or says their checks were forged no human ever looks at them...you can sign your check Mickey Mouse and it will clear the system no problem It is up to your bank teller or the cashier in the businesses where you shop to catch these discrepancies.
Exactly right. I think the bank I worked for in the late 90's was probably one of the last banks to hand file each processed check.
