Ya unfortunately we did spend most of the week clearing ahave and tossing stuff out. We were told that it would expidite the process if we photographed and listed all items damaged with costs attached which tool FOREVER lol. We also kept a record of the hours of work and I had 30 hours in three days alone! Clearing up was just a nightmare but now I only have to clean the rest of the house that was neglected. I am confident that it should all be done within the next couple of days.
There was almost 15,000 dollars in lost items as we thought we were safe from flooding as there as never been a flood in Binbrook for at least the last 50 years. Also given how new the home was we had most of our belongings in cardboard boxes. Also I was in the process of organizing and many of our items were not in a box of any kind. I mean yes I wanted to clean and organize the basement but not like this lmao. Oh well bright side is all my skinny/winter clothes are being replaced so can you say shopping spree
And our basement is now VERY clean and organized lol.
Thanks for the kind words everyone. I am a pro at flooded basements now as this was the third time and thankfully the best of the bunch as this time it was grey water unlike the last two which were black water....very nasty stuff
