Thought I would give you guys an idea of what your seeing. This is our street, Chloe and I standing in the "river", notice the lack of sidewalk?, our neighbour having a great sense of humor in light of the crisis brought a pool noodle
and of course our basement under 6 inches of water
. A couple of residents of Binbrook have rain gauges that registered just of 6 inches of water in two and a half hours!
We havent had rain here in weeks so the ground which is mostly clay was so hard that it couldn't absorb the rain nearly fast enough to deal with the insane amount of rain.
I have another pic that I will post that I didnt take but that really says it all. When I find it I will post it.
This sure wasnt the vacation my husband had in mind and thank God we decided not to go anywhere for the first time in three years.
