 Elsy has pancreatitis
Elsy started vomiting blood this morning so I rushed her to the vet. She had a temp and you could tell that she didn't feel well at all. She has pancreatitis. The vet thinks I can manage her at home so he gave her some sub-q fluids, a shot for nausea, a med to coat her stomach and some flagyl. It's been 7 hours since we got home and so far so good. She is feeling good enough that she's looking all over for some food but can't have anything until tomorrow. My vet put her on royal canin gastroinstestinal low fat can food. He doesn't think it is caused by her diet but from stress. I was in the hospital for 7 days about 3 weeks ago and then had to stay with my dad last weekend and she gets so stressed when I'm not at home. Please say alittle prayer for her. |
