Dogs and cats will both do this...it is natural for them to do this...lol...not that I like being covered in pet spit...lol...but there are enzymes in saliva...theirs and yours...that break down certain components....digestion starts in the mouth. In human digestion, the only reason we can taste anything is because we start to digest with saliva when we put it in our mouths...or so I understand.

Sally, next time you burn yourself, put a little glob of plain yellow mustard on the burn and leave it until it dries and flakes off. I know...sounds crazy, but give it a try...you can add more mustard at any time but leave it covered in mustard. If you need to go out or something and cannot leave the mustard on, leave it on as long as possible, then remove it, and put lavender oil on the burn...get the good stuff or next best...it goes a long way. Lavender oil is great for sunburn, too.
