Not disgusting. Dogs lick their babies, friends, and self. It is part of their caregiving instinct. All 4 of mine do this in verying degrees. Rubin licks all the time, Gracie if she is in the mood or wants something, Abby rarely licks (he is my therapy dog), Ginny Joy licks when she is happy or if I have a boo boo.
