Well, I'm glad this came up.
We just got our Abigail last Sunday. She is just too adorable! But, then...aren't they ALL? lol Now, I was so anxious to get a yorkie pup (something I've wanted for years), I didn't waste any time when I found this litter in the paper. Nearby. The baby would not have to be shipped. I didn't want a teeny Yorkie - but, I'm wondering how big Abbie will get, since at 8wks, she's already 2lbs.? The breeder seemed very sincere, and cares about her pups (raises them in the house, wants to visit after the sale, and was free to let us examine the dam and sire). We were told that the sire is 8lbs, and dam is "a little over" 9lbs. I held both adults, and they seemed larger than that? Both parents are AKC registered.
Mind you - Abbie is already wrapped around our hearts. I don't regret the purchase - just curious about what to really expect in size.
