www.goldenrayyorkies.com has a terrific info sheet on genetics and explains why the blue born are a different genetic problem than the red/chocolate. As far as I'm aware, the red/choc/parti etc...recessives do not link genetically to the alopecia tendency of the blue born which is just the tip of the iceberg for health issues.
Shame on the person who knowingly bred a blue born dog... People like that who knowingly perpetuate a problem just make me tired.
