Nooks you're in CA too maybe it's because I'm way up in Humboldt County but you can't really get one up here (and rarely from a show breeder) for under 3k prices average 3-5k...however I'd never get from any of the breeders within a 600 mile radius here either though.
Great posting, I think those prices are as such because people equate the price to the quality and are getting robbed by unscrupulous breeders-especially in purse puppy capital CA.
