Now I am going to have to stick up for these misfits (blue born pups). I have had 2 one has a full coat is almost 3 to this date and has no health problems. The other had sparce hair but is healthy to this date also. Everyone seems to knock them down and I see them no different than the reds and choc everyone seems to want. I would like to see some results on just how ill and what they seem to have for health problems, for I have not seen much difference in these blues and choc and reds and black ones myself?
I think it depends on if they carry the gene that causes them to loose hair health problems etc.. They are no different than Chocolates and Reds that people are breeding with and should not. They may have a few more health problems which I have not seen but non the less a misfit just like the chocolates and reds.
None of these off colored pups should be used for breeding and I know alot that do! They are just putting them back in the gene pool.
Everyone seems to oo and ahh over these reds and chocolates but not the blues no different all, except maybe a few health problems and I am thinking maybe some of these reds and choc have health problems also just not talked about much.
Here is a pic of our blue baby and he was adorable. I thank god for our blue baby for he has given us alot of knowledge, and brought us together with a very special person we love and adore, so without him we would of never met this lady. I do belive we had him just to cross paths with this special lady I do not know what we would do without. Hugs and kissesd to ya Grandma Teddy.
I do know a person that has bred blue pups and they have no problem concieving and reproducing. And the litter produced all black pups, not a blue pup in the group.
So desirerable maybe not but none of the off colored pups should be desirerable. And there seems so be a outpoouring of people who want the odd colored pups.IMO |
