How long did it take you to train Lilo? I'm working on "sit" and can't seem to get Lucy to do it. She gets board with the process and just walks away - no matter what the treat! I've watched instructional videos over and over and nothing is working.

Oh well, Lilo looks fantastic, however.

Best wishes,

Well I've been training her since the day we got her and still do whenever I get the chance. She potty trained the first day we were home and learned sit a few days later. Lilo has an unusual learning curve and im pretty sure it is because she has such an intense attention span.

Everydog learns at a different pace and sometimes you have to try different methods to figure out what works for them, have you tried the wall method where you put her next to a wall and back her up until she sits? It takes a lot of time and patience to train but its completely worth it. it took lilo 4 weeks to learn how to play basketball but once she got it it all clicked, some things she learns in a day others it takes weeks, but the important part is to always practice when you get the chance. how old is Lucy? if she is young, sometimes it takes a little longer for them to understand what we want. but dont worry! One day she'll be sitting like a pro.

if you are having difficulty with sit you can always try another trick and then come back again to learn sit, like lie down or high five. it gives them a break and is a little more interesting for both you and the dog.
