My boy's chip is sitting right next to his spine right now. I'm sure it is perfectly fine since they are inserted over the spine area anyway. I just don't like it there, nor do I like to feel how it is sitting/rubbing there.
There are so many chips and scanners now. Most vets don't check for chips either. It is not a bad system, but is not a great one either. |
Sorry to hear that in your area, the vets don't check for chips. I lived about an hour south of there for 10 years (near Toledo, but in Michigan) and every time I took a stray dog to the vets, the first thing they said was "lets scan it and see if its chipped."
