It depends. If Tatiana really wants my attention, and I'm preoccupied (like when I'm doing the dishes), she will "fake" cough. I'm NOT kidding. She learned early on that whenever she coughed, I dropped whatever I was doing and rushed over to her. I would say,"Are you okay?" I would pick her up, and examine her. So now, she would "fake" cough whenever I'm busy with something, and she wants my attention.
She would cough, and IMMEDIATELY face me, as if to say,"I want attention." If I don't come right away, she coughs again, and looks at me, expectantly. When I do come to her, and give her attention, the coughing STOPS. She's funny.
