We had my sister's Maltese, Bella, and my Yorkie, Maci, spayed at the same time. Bella was 4 1/2 at the time and Maci was still a puppy so recovery seemed a bit harder for Bella anyway, but she also did the same thing as your Yorkie. She had a little stuffed bone, like a stuffed animal that she basically had not attachment to before she was spayed. After the surgery she took the toy everywhere. It was almost always in her mouth or laying next to her. She would also growl if she thought we were trying to take it, and she would go looking for it if it wasn't with her. She was like this for a few weeks, as well as being kind of grumpy in general, but after she completely recovered all of the wierd behavior stopped. Hopefully Suzi's recovery will be similar and she will feel back to normal soon!
