I'm glad to hear the OP's baby is back to normal. She certainly had every reason to be concerned. It sounds like she is a concerned Yorkie mom that watches her baby's diet well.

There are all kinds of opinions on the pet food industry going around. I would just add that not all dog's are the same. Some seem to be able to consume all kinds of foods while others can end up in the ER with one offending item in their belly. It is always better to error on the side of caution rather than be careless about things.

Many raise their skin kids eating sugary breakfast cereals made of bleached flower and things we cannot pronounce along with the long list of added vitamins. Many human foods come out of boxes and our fruits and veggies in many cases are genetically changed to be bug resistant and to all grow the same size so they will fit in that plastic bag properly. I could do a rant on human and pet foods. The way our foods are produced now is a far cry from 20 years ago. Information about how our foods are now produced is not exactly public knowledge. No newspaper or television station is going to rat on the people who pay to advertize in their publications or on their networks. People just get accustomed to change and do not have much of a choice about what is available.

Just like our kids the effects of these foods on our dogs do not show up so much until they start to age. They mght live long but how about quality of life? How many people spend the last 2 decades of their lives in nursing homes or just unable to enjoy life, dependent on medications in many cases?

Because we live such busy lives sometimes we are not able to serve the kind of meals that great grandma use to serve. She had fresh meats and veggies that were not genetically altered or sprayed with chemicals.

This does not pertain to the OP but just an observation and also perhaps a suggestion of why we should be a bit more careful about what goes into our pet's mouth. A little bit of something out of the ordinary is probably not going to effect our pet's short or long term health but a constant diet of foods that their bodies were not made to digest can have long term effects just as it does to us humans.

Best wishes to Kimbo. I'm sure that old pizza smelled great to him!
