Is fresh ginger that hard to find there? I love the young ginger better than the old. Softer and not as fibery. Some people even grow it in their back yard. We even wash our hair with the Awapuhi (pronounced A-VA-POO-HE) Hawaiian ginger. It smells so good!
How can you tell if it is young or old?? The size of the root?
