I have a small front porch, and I have a white wicker chair with a navy blue cushion (house is gray with white and navy trim) and a small white table with a planter on it. Most of the year its fresh flowers in the planter, but for winter I use the silk poinsettias, too. I tried the rosemary tree a couple of years ago, but mine died!
I use seasonal wreaths on the door.
My fireplace now is all stone and no mantle, but when I had a mantle at my last house, I put my collection of Waterford crystal clocks on it. I'm up to about 50 clocks now, so they would never fit!
I like your idea about rearranging stuff that you have. I have so many things that I buy because I love them, but I don't know how to display them...
