1/2 an egg is plenty. In the past, I would feed 1/2 of a large commercial (grocery store) egg. I would just crack it into a coffee cup, scramble it with fork, and pour about 1/2 of it into his bowl. I would cover the coffee cup with a ziploc bag and place it in the fridge for the next morning.
Now that I am feeding "small size" eggs from pastured chickens, I am feeding the whole egg. Mind you, my dog is 3 times larger than yours, so 1/2 an egg should be fine.
