Accidents happen. I think the comment was more about people who regularly feed their dogs people food. These little animals are so cute and child like but they are truly dogs and will eat most anything that smells go to them. Of course they love the things that they are not supposed to have the most!

Feeding dogs people food, and especially processed people food, can cause pancreatitis, bad teeth and obesity to name a few. It's bad enough that we humans eat things that are so unnatural, the pets sure do not need to suffer from the same things humans do.
Some dogs have more sensitive digestive systems than others but none of them should be digesting processed human food even if they don't get sick.
