I wondered the same thing. Jada and Bogie have never had people food other than the green beans and a few fresh fruits they get as treats. We never leave leftovers sitting around for them to get into. Maybe I am anal about people food...my family is forbidden to leave dishes and plates sitting around because of my fear of my two getting sick from something they ate.
I can understand your furbaby tipping the trash can over by accident, but not eating plates full of stuff.
