Thank you LadyJane for posting Sammy's video. This is exactly what Yazmin has been doing, only in a more exaggerated motion. It reminds me of a human taking a long stretch after sitting or laying too long. But I can definitely see the bowing motion in Sammy! Poor little guy. I had to smile though because he sure looks like he's loving his breakfast!
I took video of Yazmin eating this morning but again, she didn't bow after eating. Actually since I've been mixing a small portion of the Royal Canin with the Blue Wilderness the past 2 days, she's not bowed once, nor have I had to hand fed her! She's been vigorously eating the RC first, then eating the Blue. Tonight as I was mixing the kibbles I received an important text that I had to answer. For the first time EVER, Yazi was having a barking fit wanting her food...NOW!
I still took her to my vet after work and told him the changes I've been noticing recently and my concerns, including AAI. He examined her throughly and found nothing on the surface other than the eye tearing and the condition of her hair. They have a 5x7 photo of her on their wall that was taken in April and he could see the difference in her hair being thinner now and the obvious breakage.
The staff called their larger clinic and we have an appointment on Wednesday at 1:30 PM for ex-rays and blood work.
I hope this post doesn't sound too ivasive but I admit, I'm exhausted right now and seem to be rambling at this point. I've been up since 3:00 AM , went to work by 4:00 until 3:30 PM. Then straight to the vets office. It's now after 9:00 PM and I have to be up again tomorrow at the same time and off to work.
Thank you to everyone for caring about my girl and I'll keep you updated on her outcome. Have a nice evening and a blessed day tomorrow.
