Did Riley do okay on any other varieties of the Primal? Primal just sent me a stack of coupons so I was hoping to get other protein types for variety. |
Yeah... I was in a Hurry when I grabbed the bag of venison and it wasn't until after I opened it and had a couple thawing that I went back and looked at the ingredients on the bag. There is a LOT of Lamb in it. It should almost say Venison & Lamb on the front bag.... Or Lamb. It has more lamb than venison. I got a coupon for the duck and was all excited then read the ingredients and is has Lamb bone in it......
I just feel like if I knowingly feed Riley something with Lamb in it, and he has an even worse reaction, I would be sooo upset with myself.
I am hearing More and More about dogs who are allergic to Lamb.
At one time it was a rare protein that people used for pups who had allergies.... it was in a limited lamb and rice type of meal. They are now
finding that a lot of pups are really allergic to lamb.
I Loooove Primal!!! I'm Totally Bummed..... because for some reason I think Riley is just a little sensitive to Primal... I have heard that some dogs are a little more sensitive to Primal..... I traded the bag of Primal Lamb for a bag of Primal Chicken and his ears were a teeny bit red off and on..... but this is during when he was having a reaction to all of the grains in the FROMM Chicken A La Veg and Pork & Applesauce. So I basically stopped everything and put him back on his Acana/Pacifica kibble until he got the all clear.... That is when I started incorporating the NV Raw back in.... He really thrives on the Acana one meal and the NV raw the other meal. I Love how NV is 95% meat and 5% veggies.. Riley really Loves it. I hope I can get those small bites.
