When I asked the vet last week during his check-up about what "treat" to give him, she said just stick to the dry dog food we have been giving him and it is actually better (she said the brand I am using is actually excellent). He is a very smart dog, he can sit still now when asked. He is very energetic during his playtime. My 89-year old mom loves him so much. We love him so much!
I always buy all natural treats or use real meat. I guess I don't agree much with the regular food idea. That is not really a treat that is going to be much of an encouragement to do something right. It is a good idea to keep the treat small. Just enough to let the puppy know that it has done something good. If a puppy is not a good eater it is important not to fill it up on treats.
