I'm new to this as well & let me just start off by saying is if his/her face hasn't melted your heart yet then you should find him/her a new home that will treat the baby with love & care! There is no excuse for harming an animal big or small! I grew up with German Shepherds and even though Thor was a big muscular guy my Dad never ever hit him when he did something wrong! Gave him firm no's and praised him when he did good! I understand how one would think oh well it's a bigger dog he can handle more punishment but that's not the case at all! That and I'm happy you are seeking help but really coming on & posting how you did above is probably not the best idea! These ladies above including myself LOVE YORKIES I'm a new Momma but these ladies have had them for YEARS and yes you are asking for help and if I were you I'd take the advice cause i've posted a couple threads seeking info for my new pup Jaxson and I've always gotten fantastic advice back! Your girlfriend may be some what attached to him/her but it's obvious this breed isn't for you! That's not saying you are a horrible pet owner just a yorkie isn't for you and you seem to have been around big breeds in the past. Contact a rescue and see if someone is willing to take this precious baby to a home that knows his/her needs, wants, and how to properly train & discipline a yorkie. That's all I can say and nobody here is passing judgement on you as an individual & I know you clarified a few things above from your first posting however you took lots of us by shock by your stress & venting in the first post. Please seek help and good luck!
