Thank you for standing up for the dog & going the extra mile, getting it help. Besides leaving the dog, what kind of mother or whatever relation she had with the two girls, allows her child or young person in her presence, whatever age, to talk like that around her or to other adults! And the "it's only a dog" crack - foulmouthed & cynically coldhearted for one so young. She was probably pretty shocked when someone stood up to her mouth. Young people like that one usually don't get that way without missing or improper parenting. I hope she is never left in charge of that or any dog. You deserve a big doggie paw salute for standing up for a dog.
