My mom does the same thing. She will wait by the car and call the police.(And she's in Texas) So like some of you the outside the car temps. are over 100 degrees. I can't imagine what it would be like inside.
It's common here in Hawaii to see dogs in cars. But the temps here are always tropical. So not hot and we have tradewind breezes.
I will once in a great while run into Starbucks(when there is no drive thru) and leave Ahi in the car. Although I have a remote start key. So she is in AC with my car running and the car is locked with the alarm on.
