Few of you might remember our previous post regarding our furbaby Happy. Long story short, Happy was diagnosed with mild MVD.

The specialist doctor who did ultrasound suggested to keep Happy on a low protein diet and told that liver biopsy was not needed at this stage. We had got him a new food on Monday but we returned it and got RC Hepatic. He is doing good on RC Hepatic. But it starts to hurt seeing that he is not leading a normal life and we have to refrain him from eating his favorite treats.

I might sound naive, but I have read that there is no treatment for MVD and we have to keep him on strict diet. I believe some might have their babies with MVD, can you please guide us what treats can we feed him. He was on a training schedule and is not potty trained.

I am not sure how to train him without any treats. Also, I have read about coconut oil working wonders for yorkies? Can I give Happy a table spoon of coconut oil? Will this help?
