If your not sure what the temperature of the pavement or walk ways are I suggest you take your shoes off and try it out for yourself. Dog's feet feel the heat as much as you do. Don't put your dog on pavement or walkways in that kind of heat.

Dogs do prefer to walk but they will suffer with painfully burned foot pads for days after exposure to such heat. Also Yorkies have thinner hair than most dogs and can get sunburned from that kind of direct sunlight. If you plan to stay in the shade I'm sure that would be great but I doubt you will get to see much.
