I will say babyies do start out small.. I guess if we gave birth to a pre teen no one would want a child.

I wanted children, but really did not crave having children until after my first. The ability to care for the child grows as the child grows. Looking back (two girls, two step children, full time work as a teacher, very active in sports/clubs/girl scouts/ pets came later when they were in their teens) I would have had more children if my dh had let me. I just don't know how I did it either. I am old enough I could not do it again lol (but it I had to I would).

Yes.. I have the empty nest. So now that they are moved out I have dogs. I guess the "gene" to nurture and such was "activitated" and just can't turn it off. lol
lol, yep, that gene is powerful! its what makes a person have 2 then 3 then 6 furbabies and what drives mothers to do what they do regardless of the hard times!

I know I have that gene, but I think I have used it up on human babies!lol.. My younger sister was born when I was 12, my two half sisters are 6 and 3, then I have two small cousins that are 9 and 7.. I have changed diapers, helped with the sex talk, and now help with my brother, who is 20! So I think I have gone through the whole process of having a baby till late teenagehood! lol.
