I guess I won't be in a rush to get anything done, then. Thank you for the advice. My vet had discussed early neutering and why he doesn't do it (I had asked why the animal shelter in our area neuters or spays the animals when they are 6-8 weeks old) and he told me that they have no choice. Typically the people who adopt the pets tend not to get them neutered/spayed and create an ongoing problem with too many homeless animals. He told me that it causes the animal to deteriorate much younger, having something to do with their skeletal system. I am sorry that I cannot remember exactly what, because I determined not to do that to any of my animals. |
