They told us two weeks of 'do not let him out of his crate except to pee and poop' for a neuter. We thought that was excessive, so we kept him on a held leash for a week and a loose leash for the other week (I'm home about 20 hours a day.) He started getting frisky about day 4, so i WOULD play with him gently, for short times in a controlled manner-it was the only way he didn't go spastic, which i thought was worse. We did take him on a few walks the last few days. I figured that a quiet, controlled walk was better than crazy hyper laps around the house
