I have to tell you a funny story about making tiramisu. I teach food production in a middle school. We were making tiramisu for a luncheon. I had the students make the lady fingers...we made 50 cookies. I left the on the counter, covered so the next day we could finish the tiramisu. The custodians ate them. The hard lady fingers are not that food just plain.. But they ate all of them

I guess because I had them on trays on the counter I was gifting them.. I was not happy.
So...could your bake your own lady fingers?
