Your pup needs a comfy CRATE (no water/food in crate.) You need to observe her, feed her and take her out ON A SCHEDULE. That is inconvenient - but it's only temporary and IT DOES WORK.
I'd suggest you hire a good trainer to work with you. If you can't be home part of the day to take her out, hire a sitter to do it. Once she learns the correct way to go - she'll do it. She may be in the crate for a longer period of time than if you had done the training at the beginning. At least while in her crate, she can't damage your rug any more.
