I don't think it is breed specific because I have the same problem with Angel minus the rug. Piddle, no problem. She rings her bell and goes. She also has to go back in between jobs so we turn around and take her back out. Stand there, stand there, walk her around, stand there, walk around. Go back in the house and the moment your back is turned she poops on the hardwood floor in the living room. If she can't get to the living room she will do it any place she can.

She knows better, we give her treats and still she does it almost every day. Sigh. So I have no advice but I feel your pain!
