Dyson Vacuum and Frieze Carpet Question There was a vacuum review several years ago, and I just had to get a Dyson vacuum after reading it. I love the vacuum and couldn't believe how much more it picked up then my old vacuum did. I’m now interested in buying new carpet, but I’ve read some scary things about the Dyson and frieze carpet. I have the Dyson ball animal and the beater bar is self-adjusting, and this could be a problem with some carpets, because it doesn’t adjust high enough. Do any of you have a Dyson and use it on frieze carpet? How do you like it? Does it ever pull the yarn, or leave it fuzzy looking? Any other problems?
I’ve also read that some materials, like nylon, may have a chemical reaction to urine and leave a bleached out appearance if you don’t catch the urine right away. I had my heart set on nylon, because it’s supposed to be stain resistant, but with all the grand dogs visiting (and everyone has a male dog); I’m wondering if there is a better choice? We are only carpeting bedrooms and steps. |
