hmm, I think ours is less greasy from the oven, but that's comparing it to frying because I don't cook bacon in the microwave. I don't use aluminum foil though because clean up from it is really not that bad. I drain the fat immediately when it comes out of the oven, then I elevate one end of the pan for the rest of the fat to drain and doing it this way I don't feel I have near the mess as I do with grease soaked paper towels and actually need to do little blotting. I do think it takes a couple of tries to get the bacon cooked just right though.
