So to be forewarned if you want to truly get into responsible breeding you will need to find a mentor, join your local Toy or all Breed Club and start learning the things you need to prior to breeding. If you had investigated a little further prior to purchasing any pup, the $800 for full breeding right should have been a warning sign!. Also how could you have investigated the pups lineage, and the parents health checks if you did not have either their full AKC registration numbers and or the full and complete registered name?
Many here will say that the only legitimate reason to breed is to' "Better the Breed". That indeed is a laudable goal; how-ever that may be the ultimate goal, with an earlier stepping stone of Breeding Fine Healthy PureBreds. You still hope to breed to that superior specimen of the breed, but it does take a lot of time to breed to better the Breed.

So in closing I would recommend you visit the parent club of www.ytca.org. Find out what breeders are within your state or the closest breeders to you.

I was going to underline the ideas expressed by gemy that I really agreed with....I discovered I was underlining the entire post...this is soooooo accurate, the entire thing!!!....YOU MUST DO PEDIGREE RESEARCH...THERE ARE TOOOO MANY GENETIC MALFORMATIONS BEING PERPETUATED BY "BREEDERS" NOT DOING THEIR DUE DILIGENCE IN PREVENTING SUCH MISTAKES...
