So sorry this happened to you. I've seen lots of "APR" puppies. There are a lot of other registries too. Your initial contract may be your best bet for recourse. I've seen some listings that say: "AKC/APR" If you're trying to prove a bait and switch, you'll have to establish that the puppy you selected was designated as an AKC registered puppy. The breeder might say that they breed AKC pups - but that doesn't necessarily mean that all their pups are AKC registered. About price: I've seen lots of puppies from different registries going for very high prices. Breeders generally state that if you want "full AKC rights" the cost is even higher.
