So sorry this happened to you. I've seen lots of "APR" puppies. There are a lot of other registries too. Your initial contract may be your best bet for recourse. I've seen some listings that say: "AKC/APR" If you're trying to prove a bait and switch, you'll have to establish that the puppy you selected was designated as an AKC registered puppy. The breeder might say that they breed AKC pups - but that doesn't necessarily mean that all their pups are AKC registered. About price: I've seen lots of puppies from different registries going for very high prices. Breeders generally state that if you want "full AKC rights" the cost is even higher. Do you have the original listing?? That may help you too. Good luck to you.
