I'm sorry this happened... I do realize that even a thousand compliments will not erase the hurt this woman caused you to feel. I'm even feeling some hurt for you just thinking about this.

The only reason I find is that someone must have done the same thing to her at one point in her life... and lashing out at others must make her feel better. I think it is more naturally human to be nice, and that this kind of rudeness and attacking is a learned behavior.

I was in a store once with one of mine, and stopped for a conversation with a woman... I can't remember exactly what she said, but I dropped a toy I had in my hands when she started and immediately covered my dog's ears with my hands, all with a horrified look on my face! I actually got a 'head tilt' out of the woman, then I explained that she was a rescue and I don't discuss anything negative within her earshot, as she has had enough negativity already in the few years she's been here on this Earth.

I caught the woman so off guard she forgot what she was going to say! Then she walked away looking like she'll pay more attention in the future who she chooses to speak to, lol.

PS: Sophia and Brody are two of my most favorite pups on YT!
