We have a YT member who is in Canada whose pup contracted heartworms. It only takes ONE bite from the wrong mosquito.
I would never, EVER play with heartworms.
I have seen too many pups go through heartworm treatment...it is horribly painful for them; and it can kill them.
I totally do NOT understand anyone not protecting their pups from such a horrible thing.
