I would rather feed them Origen and Grandma Lucy's and Stella and Chewy's like the normal weight guys get but having a long haired Chihuahua that SHOULD BE 5 pounds and is over 7 isn't healthy. I get them those little round treats..."something bear"...forgot name, from PetCo...that have just 3 calories per piece.

Mine are on science diet I\D my girl has pancreatis. Only treats are no salt green beans and baby carrots. My lil boy eats the same diet as they are from same breeder (parents) just a dif. Litter so he runs a higher chance of having pancreatis so I just feed him same diet, same amounts, same everything. He is a little larger frame even and he still is over weight. She is not. Just tells me he tends to be a bigger boy. I've tried n tried to get him to lose weight, I give up lol. His frame says he should weight 6-6.5 per vet. Yet he maintains at 8. Bella maintains at 6. Ive concluded he's just meant to be a lil chubby. vet says its just how it is. As long as they are healthy & happy so am I!
You having luck with yours losing?
