My girls are 5 months old too. They play most of the time but I still put them into their crate for a sleep late morning so they don't get over tired. They too have regressed a bit with the toilet training but that's not unusual. Keeping things consistent should bring this back in time. When I leave them for a time I make sure thru have had a good energetic playtime first and put them in the crate with water. They usually just go to sleep until I return. I leave a few toys to amuse them incase they wake before I'm back. They can hold the toilet overnight so no reason why they should need before I return. Works well for us.
